Experience

37 years working experience with INGO’s in senior management position in-country and abroad (RDRS, MSFSCIP in Kurigram supported by DAE IFAD & GTZ, Impact Foundation- Floating Hospital, LWS-Liberia, CCF-Afghanistan, ECHO/COOPI and Sudan). Having comprehensive experience in Agriculture, Health, Education, Gender equalization, protection of environmental degradation, disaster management etc. Provided leadership, direction and advice of RDRS (Rangpur Dinajpur Rural Service) comprehensive project. To the North-East of Bangladesh offering support to the poor people in the areas of Social Organization and Education, Agricultural Extension, Health Nutrition and Family Planning, Skill Development, Employment Generation and Micro Credit, Gender equity, Emergency assistance and Environmental protection. Supervised approx. 200 male and female staff. Provided executive leadership to LWS (Lutheran World Service) Agricultural department and established it in Liberia. Distributed 10,000 hand tools and seeds to war devastated farming families.

 

Developed “Group based Participatory Monitoring” (GPM) a process of Group development, new method in development field which helps the SELF HELP group members to monitor their own activities. A tool of formation and development formulated feasible for the developing countries that may be used for the non-literate people that has been tested with Government and Non-Government Organizations working with groups. Through the process the groups can be organized and developed easily, and become cost effective. The process helps group members to plan, implement and monitor their own activities without external support. It also teaches the group members to learn from mistakes and to plan better for the future.

 

Coordinated/Supervised the “Demand Driven Production Promotion” (DDPP) approach, analyzed the conditions of a cost effective development of groups to “Bank ability” published. An extension training manual published and imparted training to field staff and Federation (apex organization) office bearers. Commissioning and operating Impact ‘JibonTari’ Floating Hospital to offer modern medical services (clinical treatment and surgical intervention) in restoring sight, hearing and mobility among poorest of the poor communities in the riverine areas of Bangladesh. Assessed training needs of the borrowers of SECP (Small Entrepreneurship Credit Program) and imparted entrepreneurship training to the borrowers of the project using CEFE model for optimum utilization of credit and to undertake small projects.

 

Worked for 25 years with NAZIR, in Proficiency in planning, implementation and evaluation of projects of comprehensive nature aimed at poverty alleviation and sustainable development through participatory and community-based approaches. Experience in the field of related to education project implementation (Formal & Non-formal) rural and urban area, Skill in Non-formal & formal training, Acquired good knowledge & experiences about CBOs, different communities and civil society. Made regular and intensive field visit in different conditions to ensure proper implementation of the project. Experience gained in personnel and financial management aspects of the projects. Capable to select project partners/ stakeholders in the form of rural organization under various pressures with priority to bring women in the mainstream of development, experienced in planning, in implementing, extension campaigns and training courses of project staff, stake holders, NGO staff and Government Officials. Ability in preparing reports for internal and external purposes, preparing applications for project funding and writing reports.

Non-formal Primary Education-2003 has been working as Executive Director from 1998 and participate many training courses on different subjects, seminars, workshops and conferences on different issues, topics, subjects etc. organized by NAZIR, National NGOs, International NGOs, Donors, UNOs, and government departments. Has been implemented a total of 34 projects supported by different donors, govt. departments and international organization, which have been implemented very successfully with donors’ satisfaction. So, he has long experience on different development project planning, implementation, management, administering, monitoring and evaluation.
